About this Event

Just in time for the holidays, let’s get ‘together’ online for an evening of art and fun with a holiday-themed hand lettering class from 6:30-8pm on Monday December 21st.

In our virtual zoom classroom, you will learn about different lettering styles, and practice putting together interesting layouts and combinations. We will work together on creating an art-full holiday message that can be used on a holiday or New Year’s card, gift tag - or kept for your own personal use, but there is also plenty of room for creativity.

The workshop will be conducted over Zoom, so you will need a standard webcam and microphone to participate. You will also need to have your own supplies and should purchase blank cards or gift tags in advance (here is Danielle’s recommendation), but paper and a black marker are also enough, if you aren’t planning on gifting your creation.

Zoom link will be emailed to all confirmed participants at least 1 hour before the class.

Supplies: All you will need for this class is a few sheets of paper, a pencil with an eraser, a black pen or marker, a ruler (optional), and the pens/markers/colored pencils/gel pens of your choice! In this workshop you will:

- Be introduced to hand lettering

- Practice creating serif, sans serif, and script styles

- Learn how to draw block letterings, shadows, and 3-D effects
