Brush Lettering Calligraphy Basics is designed to help beginners to gain confidence with their lettering. First we'll learn the basic strokes, then how to form letters, and finally how to use pressure and faux calligraphy techniques to make the hallmark thicks and thins that make modern calligraphy so much fun. Everyone who signs up with receive practice worksheets to reference during and after the class, as well as a recording that you can rewatch any time. What makes this different from an online class is that it's live, so I can give you personalized feedback just like at an in-person class or private lesson!

In this workshop, you will:

• Be introduced to modern calligraphy

• Practice the 8 basic strokes that make up all letters

• Learn a modern calligraphy alphabet using faux and brush calligraphy

• Receive personalized feedback on your lettering during the workshop

• Have the opportunity to ask me all of your burning questions about modern calligraphy!

Due to the current health crisis, this workshop is "pay what you can". The suggested ticket price is $35, but I understand that's not possible for everyone right now. Whether you pay $1 or $100, I appreciate you choosing to learn with me. You can also purchase this class if you're unable to make the live session but would like me to send you the recording afterwards.

The workshop will be conducted over Zoom and you will need a webcam and microphone to participate. Since this workshop is online, you will also need to have your own supplies. I will send out a supply list with links and detailed instructions about how to join the session once you have registered.
